I like this style because it seems kind of similar to my own, but there's a distinct anime style that's put on it. However, it's neat to see how you tackle some things such as the hair, which I always found difficult to do for males. Personally I never used oblong irises and pupils, but I feel it really works for your style.

Neat to see how you went about this!

I like this! Especially for the ear part since I have problems sometimes and where an ear is positioned on the head.

What helps is I imagine the head circle like an orange sliced in quarters. The side half lines up the ears while the front slice forms the middle line for the face. Hope that makes sense.

What a nice pic for Journihedgehog. I'd be interested to see similar tutorials for the Silver Fox characters. The cute ones. ;)

Well, I've always liked the designs for Hunter and Kathra. But as I mentioned earlier, it would be nice to see them featured in a full playback rather than just tutorial steps.

How do you get on that playback site? Just create an account? *gonna take a look at that this weekend...*

An account is all you need. If you created your work entirely in openCanvas, you can save it as an Event file and upload it to be rendered as a video. Bear in mind that trial users cannot start from a scan or paste anything in the image, or else your submission will be rejected. I learned this the hard way when my Krystal painting got snubbed. :crying:

If you're not comfortable drawing directly on the computer, one thing I tried is to superimpose a transparent scan on the screen with Custom Desktop Logo. That way I could simply ink over it in openCanvas without affecting the playback.

Awesome, thanks again Glitch.

It's fine, I wouldn't have a problem drawing directly into the computer. I do the same sketching the digi inking process you do on some pieces.

Ah very useful. =] I've recently been trying to nail this down and couldn't quite get the eye and muzzle placement correct on certain angles. A brief breakdown like this should help me with that. Thanks for sharing this!
