Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" (John 11:25-26).

And nu he's not a zombie. Reanimation is VERY different from resurrection ;P

A pastor once said it was a good thing Jesus called him by name or the WHOLE freakin' graveyard would have come back to life :XD:

You know, Jesus wept before he raised Lazarus from the dead.

There was a popular belief that a person's spirit would hover around 24 hours after passing. Jesus delayed his visit to the area because He had this all planned out. The Jewish authorities were searching for Jesus to trap him, so being in the area was a risk that Christ was willing to take a risk.

It is said if Jesus simply said, "Come forth!" all the tombs in the area would be opened and all the people in them would be raised from the dead.

True true and to this day, I am puzzled as to WHY he wept. I can only guess . . . unless God reveals something about that to me soon.

I love Lazarus's face. I can imagine that if I was dead and buried and all, I'd look pretty surprised myself. Glad his shroud was wrapped like that, or else, he's been hopping out instead of walking! :)

Knowing Jesus though, he'd probably have helped if Lazarus couldn't walk.

I heard this from a preacher: "If Jesus didn't say "Lazarus" ,come out! then ALL the dead people would of came out of their grave! lol
