Tell me about it. When I actually draw it out I discover that I don't know certain characters as well as I thought I did so that's why I just sketching a lot more. It's the best way for me to get to know them.
But you have a whole gallery full of character artwork by now. Surely that's more than enough to get a feel for them. Maybe what you're lacking is the commitment to work on the comic. If you like, you can always email me your ideas on the story; I'd be glad to offer some feedback.
I'm not sure how to explain it but somehow I feel less intimidated because it's such a simple program. That and it's a great way to turn out quick scratchings and saving smaller sized files. I had mentioned prior that these aren't intended to be masterpieces but sketchbook material and practice
