More panels I did for RE Education in Malta :-)

The Exodus of the Hebrews from Egypt and and the impartation of the Law to Moses.

I've had people tell me that the Ten Commandments aren't (C) only to the Jews and yes, I agree:

Romans 2:14-16

"(Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.) This will take place on the day when God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares."

Bible says that the laws of God are written on the heart which is why we have consciences. But the conscience will dull overtime if the person violates it enough. We start making excuses for ourselves.

I think God had the Law written down for a reason. It's hard to make excuses when you see right in front of your face in writing. Just like how it's hard to argue with the cop when he has you clocked and the speed limit sign is right there.

Yup. It's impossible to argue with God. Great job adding the shine in Moses's face :). And I see your depiction of the Red Sea is inspired by the scene from The Prince of Egypt! Man, I love that movie! :D

Of course, Prince of Egypt's rendition stole the thunder from any other depiction of the Red Sea Crossing. I can't imagine any less without feeling completely underwhelmed.

Yeah. The image of the staff striking the water, the water swirling upwards, and those gigantic walls have been stuck with me since I was five or six! :) And let's not forget the Pillar of Fire bursting out of the Red Sea! That was epic! :D

Hmmm perhaps being in God's direct presence can do that to a man.  He was able to go 40 days without any food or water and even came down the mountain glowing because he absorbed God's light.  =D Yehuwah has pure energy coming out of him all the time, so it makes sense (Bible says he's constantly sustaining the universe with energy and holding it together). Moses was literally feeding off God's presence and light.

Personal experience;  one time I went on a several day fast (just wanted to shed some trash and de-clutter my soul) and normally when I would be fainting away, I felt perfectly fine, and I felt God's presence just powering me like a battery, holding me up and going to work like normal.  And I came out so much stronger and in step with him, it's amazing.

...That and middle eastern men age pretty well, so that's another facet to consider (lol).

Your version of Moses is a very fitting one. He looks old, but not ancient, and considering he’s around eighty years old here, it’s appropriate. Really like the look on his face too.

Hi...haven't read the whole chain, but wanted to add my two cents about the ancient people in the Middle East. We should also remember that people emigrated into these lands and slaves were also brought in. We can't solely determine what people may have looked like back then just by looking at the present day people. The Egyptians today, for example, are Arab people...but the ancient Egyptians were clearly of an African "racial" group. If we look at America today...Americans look completely different from what the indigenous people who inhabited all of the Americas looked like due to a variety of reasons. I wish I could be a fly on a wall and journey back thousands of years so I could see what the Israelites really looked like. Current day Jews resemble every people group that they migrated to. There are Chines Jews, Indian Jews, Ethiopian Jews, European Jews, and Sephardic Jews (Jews of color from the Iberian peninsula, North Africa and the Mediterranean).

Have you seen local Palestinians? They're pretty white and they are cousins to the original Hebrews. North Africans are also very light people. Soooo . . . I try to go in-between but it's tricky because this is a place where 3 continents meet and I think God did it on purpose. People there are very mixed, they even look Hispanic sometimes.

in biblical times local Palestinians and people in north Africa were dark skinned people it wasn't until the campaigns of Adad-nirari II, that the people that are dwelling in these places today conquered and overthrew Egypt and Libya etc. remember don't get modern civilization's were about mixed with the ancient time period ...alot has changed since then and civilizations have been conquered the people that reside in north Africa today are not native to north Africa or Palestine

Something to consider, some Hieroglyphs show a set of immigrants from the Palestine area. They are depicted as lighter than the local Egyptians [link] So they've been around there for a WHILE.

this is why I don't trust most tomb scene reproductions. This is the exact tomb scene that I was referencing via what I saw from Exodus Decoded (only place I saw an actual photograph of that image) and the Semites were no where near that yellow. Take a look towards the end of the clip

[link]

Clearly brown complexioned. I'm not nit picking over something so trivial either, it's just that I made a statement and that image sought to contradict what I'd just claimed.

Okay this documentary is just epic *saves*

True, and I don't see why they couldn't be brown either. That is the place where three continents meet. You'd think people would look very diverse. Hebrews went around and mixed with other groups. Even Jesus has foreigners in his human ancestry.

yea but another thing u need to realize is that those people in isreal now are not really the ancient hebrews ......most importantly it's in the bible go to revelations 3:9 and its more on what happened to the true isrealite of ancient times in Deuteronomy read it and the truth shall set you free.... shalawam & thawada

I agree, the truth does set free :-)

The land belongs to those who carry the faith of Abraham, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Their ethnicity is not the main concern. And like I said, the Jews have been around and get mixed up in their wanderings. They've been without a country for 2000 years, wouldn't your people group get a little mixed? But they kept their faith and language intact because the spirit is what truly matters.

I'm not saying there aren't people in Israel with bad intentions, but I recognize the spiritual identity and heritage of that place.

AWESOME!
But you have a little problem with the commandements:
1. In the sacond word, you wrote: Lo Yihiyeh (לא יהיה) There will not be. In the Hebrew bible, it'w written Lo Ta'aseh (לא תעשה) You shall not make.
2. In the third work there is like some un-undentifide word, but it ends with an Alef (א), which the thrid commandement needs to start with Zehor Et (זכור את) Remember the, which continues to Remember the Sabbath for it is holy. But it could not end with an Alef, onlt with a Reish (ר).
3. In the fifth commandement is honour your father and mother, which is shorten to Honour your, or Honour the (direct translation from Hebrew), so instead of Habed et Aviha (כבד את אביך) - Honour your Father, you needed to write only Habed Et (כבד את) - Honour your.
4. In the eighth commandement you wrote Lo Tenanachi (Which stands for nothing, there is no word Tananachi), you should write Lo Tignov (לא גנוב) Thou shall not steal.
5. In the ninth commandement you wrote Lo TaTZna (I wrote the TZ as capital on porpus, because the second letter you used [ץ] - Tzadik sofit [Ending Tzadik], is a finishing letter, and can only be used in the end of a word), also, there is no such word as Tatzna, but the commandement says Lo Ta'aneh (לא תענה) "You shall not bear", which adds to "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor".

That's it!

I love your atworks, keep it going!
