Report a Policy Violation
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

I drew this a few years ago. The assignment was to create one of those big illuminated manuscript letters but with my own twist:
[link] It totally deserves color so hopefully I can get to this one too. At the top left is a seraph blowing a shofar (ram horn) and at the top right is the prophet Isaiah pointing to Christ as the true Jewish Messiah and rightful King of Israel. In Jesus' right hand is the Keys of Death and Hell that He swiped from Satan after crushing his head. Death and hell no longer has any power over those called by God. They lost their sting to eternal life because of Christ's finished work on the cross. At the bottom from left to right, saints Philip, Luke, Stephen, Paul, Peter, Andrew, James/Jacob, & John. In the middle is Matthew writing his Gospel. I put little indicators of how some of them were martyred. Luke is holding a rope because he was hanged for his faith. Peter bears nail marks in his wrists because he was crucified upside down. I want faith like that. Image (C) Tazia Hall |

I love all the symbolism...all the hints... Its stunning. I wish I had faith like that too...
Have you ever read Jesus Freaks vol I and II? I haven't finished them yet, but I read them from time to time. Reading about the the faith of others is just amazing.
I've actually met someone when I was younger, he used to go to my church. He was a missionary in Yemen. And I was a Youth retreat in December in 2002, when we got word from our paster and the news stations that he was killed... for his faith.
It truly takes us to allow God to work in our lives and lead us down HIS path... I think that'sa way that we can have such faith... if we let Him. ..
