. . . and it continues.

Will scrap later.
FF>> means fast forward because I feel something is needed between these two scenes.
Argh, they just keep getting cuter. Sorry for killing you with romanticalness, menfolks.
Anyway, I mentioned before that the brothers' mom was very sickly (with tuberculosis). Argot's father used to get on his case about putting any pressure on his mom. When she died, Argot felt responsible because his father made him feel responsible. It was a false sense of perfectionism that was imposed on him by his father. His father also believed that a real hard working family didn't need help from any institutions. Argot subconsciously throws himself into his work because of this (I decided he'll work in a tavern ie. cooking).

And now he feels responsible for his little brother. He feels if he can at least watch out for his brother, that might make up for his mom.
This is quite a common mentality. I used to feel like I had to protect my mom, but it is a burden of responsibility that is not mine. Argot would rather internalize everything, thinking his needs are unimportant, and try to protect his sibling. As you can see in the strip, his single-mindedness makes it kinda hard for people like Norma.

Now I must make myself do homework.
